When Haris first started modelling, confidence wasn’t something he felt he naturally had.
In his own words:
“My biggest fear was the general exposure and attention that comes with modelling. I was quite introverted, and I didn’t impose as a huge or confident character… it was overwhelming and I began to doubt myself.”
Instead of giving up, he focused on building the skills he needed.
He started spending more time in front of the camera, learning what worked for him and what didn’t:
“I had to figure out the best way to present myself in a photo… my best poses or angles. To develop this, I made sure I had plenty of exposure in front of a camera.”
Then came the moment he never expected: seeing himself on a real billboard.
“I was in complete surprise. It was a dream and a goal for me… I was so caught up in emotion that I actually forgot to take any photos and had to come back another time to capture the moment.”
Haris also wants people to recognise the work behind the scenes that makes moments like this possible:
“The agency works tirelessly every day responding to emails and calls to make sure the work benefits our careers. And the entire crew of a shoot comes in early to make sure you’re comfortable and look your very best.”
Looking ahead, Haris has his sights set on a dream client:
“I’d love a campaign or runway moment for COS. Their style matches mine and it would make the shoot feel natural.”
Haris’ journey is such a strong reminder that growth often comes from quiet consistency, not instant confidence. A brilliant example for any new face entering the industry.
